Britain joins America, France, Germany, Italy to support Israel

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has spoken to the leaders of America, France, Germany and Italy to discuss the ongoing conflict in Israel. Shortly thereafter, Sunak attended a prayer service at a synagogue in north London and assured the country’s Jewish community that he would ensure their safety. Sunak expressed strong support and solidarity for Israel in his joint statement with US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He also unequivocally condemned Hamas for its horrific acts of terrorism.

“We make clear that there is no justification for Hamas’s terrorist actions and they must be universally condemned,” the leaders of the US, Britain, France, Germany and Italy said in a joint statement.
