British billionaire Mohammed Al Fayed dies at the age of 94


London: Britain’s famous industrialist Mohammed Al Fayed has passed away. He was 94 years old. Fayed was born in Egypt, later he settled in Britain in 1970 and built his empire here. He was in the news after the death of his son Dodi in a car accident with Lady Diana, daughter-in-law of the British royal family. He accused the British royal family of getting Diana and Dodi murdered under a conspiracy. Not only this, after this accident, he kept raising questions in this matter. During this industrialist Fayad remained far away from the glare of the world.

Fayad’s death was informed by his family by issuing a statement on Friday. Relatives told that Mohammad Fayed died on 30 August 2023. After retirement, he spent a long and satisfactory life among his relatives. He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.

Former BBC Royal correspondent Michael Cole, who later worked for profit as director of public affairs at Harrods, described her as ‘an extraordinary character’. He told BBC Radio 4’s Today program that Al Fayed was a charming and larger-than-life character, and full of humanity. Following the sale of Harrods to Qatar in 2010, Fayed remained in the honorary position. The chairman of Fulham Football Club for six months said: “It is with great sadness to hear of Fayed’s death. We are eternally grateful to Fayed for what he has done for our club.”
