Atlanta. Former US President Donald Trump and 18 others are expected to appear in court on September 6 on charges of conspiring to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia state. All 19 defendants, including former New York mayor Rudy Guiliani and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, are expected to appear on Sept. 6 and enter pleas that same day, according to court records.

A notice issued Monday by Fulton County court officials said defendants would “remain present in court” and were instructed to wear face masks when entering the courtroom. Trump’s spokesman has not yet commented on this. The defendants appeared at the Fulton County Jail on Friday for arrest. During this, the ‘Mug Shot’ (picture taken as a prisoner after arrest) of Trump (77) was released. This was the first ‘mug shot’ of any former US President.

All but one of the accused agreed to Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Wills’ terms and bond amount and were subsequently released. Harrison Willian Prescott Floyd, accused of torturing a Fulton County election worker, did not agree to these conditions and remains in jail. A lawyer for Floyd asked the court on Monday to set a “reasonable bond” for his client and that he is the only African-American person among the defendants.
