Mumbai Veteran actress-director Seema Pahwa shares that her character of a mother in the upcoming film ‘Yatri’ brings with it the spirit of unfulfilled passion and dreams. Seema Pahwa is known for her work in films like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Ramprasad Ki Terahvin’, ‘Bala’, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and others.

The actress will star alongside Raghubir Yadav, Jamie Lever, Anurag Malhan and Chahatt Khanna in the film directed by Harish Vyas.

Seema said, “I really enjoy playing a mother on screen. That’s why I decided to take up the role. The concept is very appealing, and I’m really fond of the story. Also a director I have immense respect for Harish as a director.It was his expertise that inspired me to take up this role.’

The actress further mentioned that throughout her career, she has portrayed a variety of maternal characters, each of whom is unique and introspective.

She said, “The character I am currently searching for brings with it a sense of unfulfilled passion and dreams. She finds herself unsure of how to achieve her aspirations, which leads to a certain level of confusion. This special role allows me to showcase her personal journey, going beyond the typical expectations of a devoted mother whose only desire is the happiness and success of her family and children.”

She further added, “She is a middle-class woman who selflessly devoted herself to her family by giving up her dreams. One of his primary wishes is to set up his own shop and gain financial security. While, the film explores the concept of finding happiness in everyday moments, her happiness is tied to materialistic goals and unfulfilled aspects of her life.

Produced by Kuku Mohanka of Akion Entertainment, Yaatri is slated to hit the theaters on 6 October.
