According to media reports, Hyundai Motor was testing the compact SUV Creta facelift near Chennai, whose spy shots are going viral. It is being speculated in media reports that Hyundai is going to launch its new Creta facelift in the Indian car market soon. As part of its preparation, its test is being conducted near Chennai. However, the South Korean automobile manufacturer has not yet officially announced the launch date of its new compact SUV. However, it is being said in media reports that Hyundai Motor may possibly launch Creta facelift in the beginning of the year 2024. Will give competition to these cars after being introduced in new avatar

The report says that Hyundai Creta is currently at the forefront in the compact SUV segment. When launched in the new avatar, it will compete with new SUVs like the Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara as well as the Honda Elevate SUV in India. Hyundai has recently launched the Adventure Edition model of the SUV. Currently, Creta is available in six broad variants with both petrol and diesel engines. Its ex-showroom price in India starts from Rs 10.87 lakh to Rs 19.20 lakh.

Many updates can be found in the design

Spy shots of Hyundai’s upcoming Creta facelift SUV reveal that the model will get several updates in its design. It is clear from the spy shots that the Creta will get a new set of LED DRLs, split LED headlights and LED taillights. Hyundai is likely to use the same H-shaped headlight and taillight signature that was first introduced in the Xtor SUV. Apart from this, the spy shots have also revealed the new roof and alloy wheels design on the SUV. The grille is expected to get a parametric design with tweaked bumpers at either end.

Changes are expected in the interior also

Many changes are also expected in the interior of the Creta facelift. The carmaker is likely to offer a large touchscreen infotainment screen along with an updated digital instrument cluster. Apart from other changes in the interior of the SUV, it is also expected to get new features like ADAS capability, 260-degree camera, seat ventilation, updated upholstery.

Gearbox and Transmission

There is also news that the new Creta facelift can be introduced in the market with its own 1.5-petrol and diesel units, which are currently used in BS-6 Phase-2 variants. Hyundai is expected to pair the 1.5-litre turbocharged unit with the 7-speed DCT gearbox on this variant. Currently it is used in Alcazar SUV. Transmission is likely to be between 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed automatic as well as CVT and 7-speed DCT gearboxes.

Creta facelift will compete with Kia Seltos facelift

In India, Creta facelift will compete with Kia Seltos facelift. Kia Seltos car price in India starts from Rs 10.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 20 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan India). This vehicle comes in three variants Tech Line (HT), GT Line and X-Line. Sub variants like HTE, HTK, HTK Plus, HTX and HTX Plus are available under the Tech Line, while the GT Line and X-Line are its single fully loaded variants.

Kia Seltos Facelift Color Options

Kia Seltos comes with eight monotone, two dual tone and one matte color options: Sparkling Silver, Clear White, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, Intense Red with Aurora Black Pearl Roof There is a choice of Glacier White Pearl and exclusive Matte Graphite with Aurora Black Pearl roof. This is a 5 seater car which can seat five people.
