China on Tuesday said it supported India in hosting this year’s G20 summit and stood ready to work with all sides for the success of the high-profile global summit in New Delhi this week. A day after the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that Premier Li Qiang will represent China at the G20 summit in place of President Xi Jinping. The ministry spokesman told reporters at a regular briefing here that China always attaches high importance to the G20 grouping and actively participates in relevant events.

Regarding the summit to be held in New Delhi on September 9-10, he said that we support India in hosting this year’s summit and are ready to work with all parties to make the G20 summit a success.
