Khalistani supporters tried to set fire to the Indian Embassy in San Francisco, USA. Sikh for Justice (SFJ) chief terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had said on June 30 that from July 8, Indian embassies would be surrounded. This incident was carried out on the very next day of its announcement i.e. on the night of 1st July.

The incident took place on Saturday, but US government spokesman Matthew Miller informed about it on Tuesday. At present, the investigation of the case has been started by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The embassy did not suffer much damage in this incident.

This is the second incident in five months. Earlier, Khalistan supporters surrounded this embassy in March demanding the release of Amritpal. Khalistani supporters released the video. Khalistani supporters also released a video of the incident. The Indian Embassy in San Francisco in the US was targeted in this. In the video, it has been described as revenge for the killing of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed in Canada last month. In the video, Khalistan supporters said that violence begets violence. Terrorist Nijjar was gunned down by two unidentified bike riders in the parking lot outside the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Surrey, Canada last month.
