How to setup DigiLocker?

  1. Go to the Google Play Store or App Store on your Android or iOS device. Download DigiLocker App from here.
  2. Open the app after it is installed. After that choose your language. Then tap on Continue.
  3. Then you will be told about DigiLocker and its features. Scroll down and tap on the Get Started button at the bottom.
  4. You will be asked for your Aadhaar number. Through this you will create an account. Then you will also have to enter some details which will include Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. After that tap on Submit.
  5. You need to set a 6 digit security pin to secure your digital wallet. You will have to enter this PIN every time you open the app. After that tap on Submit.
  6. After this you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email ID. After this enter OTP and sign-in.

How to use DigiLocker?

  1. By going to DigiLocker’s dashboard, you will be taken to your dashboard.
  2. Here you will see the plugins for each document. You can link them with your account.
  3. You can also upload your documents manually here.
  4. Along with this, documents can also be uploaded by e-signing.
