Milk – 1½ cups
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Basil seeds – 2 teaspoons
Ice cream – 2 scoops
Falooda Sev – a handful
Rose syrup – 2 tbsp
Pistachios – few, chopped for garnish
Rose petals – a few, for garnish
# To make your homemade falooda, firstly soak basil seeds in water for 30 minutes. Once done, filter it.
# In a pan add one and a half cup of milk along with some sugar. On medium heat, let it boil after which you can lower the flame and let it almost boil. 5-7 minutes.
# Once it boils you have to refrigerate it in the refrigerator until you get the milk slightly thickened.
# Now you have to pour some water in a pan and let it boil. Once it starts boiling, add falooda sev to it; Give it 4-5 minutes to cook.
# Next step, drain the water and wash the falooda sev immediately with cold water to stop the cooking. Now you have to hone your craft building skills. Take a pair of kitchen shears and use them to roughly chop them into pieces. 1 inch pieces.
# Your soaked basil seeds, cold milk and sev are ready, now it’s time to prepare your falooda.
To make Faluda, first take two glasses and put basil seeds in it.
# Then put cooked falooda sev on top of it.
# For this, you have to mix one tablespoon of rose syrup in each glass.
# you’re almost there! Now add milk to it and see that some basil seeds are floating on top.
# Add a scoop of ice cream to it.
it’s done. Just garnish it with chopped pistachios and rose petals and serve.
