A 22-member rifle and pistol team will leave for Baku with 32 Paris Olympic quotas at stake, while a 21-member team will go to Hangzhou.Reigning men’s 10m air rifle world champion Rudranksh Patil has been included in the Asian Games squad based on the Paris quota winner’s selection criteria. For Hangzhou, Aashi Chokse replaced Tilotma Sen in the women’s air rifle team. Only five entries are allowed in each of the men’s and women’s rifle events at the Asian Games. The rest of the selections were done on the basis of rankings after the National Selection Trials 5 and 6 for Group A rifle and pistol shooters, which concluded at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range here on Friday. Trying to make a comeback in the Indian team after a long time, Chowdhary was part of the trials but could not make it.
