One of the most awaited film releases of the year, Prabhas’ Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire has reportedly been postponed. With all eyes on Salaar, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to give the audiences a unique theatrical experience and are thus working hard on the post-production of the film. The film’s delayed release can also be attributed to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which is expected to break all box office records when it releases next week. Due to the release of two big budget films in a short span of time, the opening box office business of Salaar might get affected due to Jawan.

Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire postponed due to post-production delays

The film is Prabhas’ second release of the year after the mythological action film Adipurush, which failed to impress the critics and the audience. While Prabhas fans are looking forward to seeing their favorite star in the film Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire directed by Prashant Neel, it has reportedly been extended till the end of the year. The film has been pushed beyond its original release date of September 28, 2023 and the makers will make an official announcement after finalizing the new release date of Salaar.

In a report, Pinkvilla quoted an industry source as saying “Saalar occupies a prominent place among the big films emerging from India, and the makers are determined to meet the high expectations of fans and film buffs. Unfortunately, the film is not ready yet and is in need of additional time for post-production. Needed

Reports state that Prabhas director Prashant Neel and his team have unanimously agreed to postpone Salaar from its original release date of September 28. Distributors in USA and India have also been informed about the same, while bookings for USA will be canceled and refunds will be issued. The report states that the makers will finalize a new date and make an official announcement soon.

Salar postponed due to Jawan’s storm?

Salaar and Jawan are two of the most awaited film releases of the year. Interestingly, both the films are Prabhas and Shah Rukh Khan’s second big screen release of the year respectively. While Shah Rukh’s ‘Pathan’ turned out to be an all-time blockbuster, Prabhas’s ‘Adipurush’ received negative reviews from critics.

With Jawan releasing 3 weeks before Salaar, the makers must have anticipated that the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer would break all box office records and thus decided to secure a better box office window for Salaar. Jawan is expected to earn over Rs 125 crore on its opening day and break all the box office records of ‘Pathan’.
