Addressing the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through digital means, Putin said about the Ukraine conflict that ‘outside forces’ are running projects near our borders to protect Russia. security could be put at risk. At the SCO meeting, Putin said, “I take this opportunity to thank the members of our partner countries of the SCO for supporting the Russian leadership in protecting the constitutional order, property and citizens.” He noted that the share of the Russian national currency in export transactions with all SCO member states in 2022 will exceed 40 percent. The Russian President said that the SCO is fully committed to creating a “true sense of justice” and a “multipolar world order”.
