Shooting World Championship: India won bronze medal

New Delhi. Indian shooters began their campaign at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Championships in Baku with a bronze medal in the men’s 10m air pistol team event.

The Indian men’s 10m air pistol team made a stellar start to the championships in Baku.

The trio of Shiva Narwal, Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema scored 1734 points.

Whereas, the Chinese team shot gold with 1749 points and Germany (1743 points) won the silver medal by scoring just 9 points more than India.

Shiva was the best Indian finisher in the individual 10m air pistol event, finishing 17th in the qualification with a score of 579.

He missed qualifying for the final by three points. Sarabjot was one place behind with 578, while Arjun Cheema finished 26th with a qualifying round score of 577.

In the women’s 10m air pistol individual event, Isha Singh shot 572 to finish 32nd and miss qualification by four points.

Palak finished 40th with a score of 570.

Whereas, Divya T.S. With a score of 566, she finished 66th overall.
