A delegation led by South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) President Ramesh Vaghasia, including Mission 84 Project Head Paresh Bhatt and Committee Member Komal Kumar Shah under the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84, met the Consuls General of various countries in New Delhi, Had one-on-one meetings with ambassadors and trade advisors.
Chamber President Ramesh Vaghasia met Manoj Nardosingh, Secretary General, India Office of Asia Africa Rural Development Organization (AARDO) and Sanjib Behera, India Chapter Head, and presented the Mission 84 project before them. He was greatly impressed by the Mission 84 project and also took detailed information about the project. Asia Africa Rural Development Organization is an association of more than 30 African and Asian countries. Both the officials of this organization told the Chamber President that they will request every country under their jurisdiction to join the Mission 84 project of the Chamber of Commerce.
A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce met Mauritius High Commissioner Hemandoyal Dilam CSK. Then accompanied by Dr. Aminata Thayem, First Trade Counselor and Chargé d’affaires of Guinea, Dr. Ferenc Tóth, First Trade Counselor of Economic and Trade Affairs of Hungary and Levante Kardos, Economic and Commercial Trade Advisor, Ambassador of Myanmar Moi Kyaw Aung and Economic Attache Myo Myint Maung, Ghanaian Trade Advisor Muniru Kadri, Ivory Coast Commercial Trade Advisor Ange Gabriel Akafu, Sri Lankan Commercial Minister Trade Advisor L.G. Dissanayake, Maldives’ First Commercial Trade Counselor Mohamed Nazeel, Burkina Faso Ambassador Desiree Boni met Phes Mon, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Tha Hay and Attache Nguyen Lung Duc.
The Ambassadors and Trade Advisors of all the above mentioned countries assured the Chamber of Commerce delegation of their full support to the Mission 84 project. It was also agreed to organize meetings between industrialists of the two countries with the aim of establishing business relations.
Apart from this, discussions were also held to strengthen Surat’s relations with Vietnam at the global level. He committed to create a platform for chambers of commerce and industrialists from those countries to build commercial relations with Gujarat keeping in mind the economic policies.
