South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI) Start-up Summit – 2023 is organized during 27, 28 & 29 October 2023 at Platinum Hall, Surat International Exhibition & Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat. Under which Curtain Raiser event was organized at Sanhati, Sarsana, Surat. In which Hiranmoy Mahanta, CEO of Gujarat Start-up and Innovation Hub (I-Hub) guided the entrepreneurs for start-up and innovation as the keynote speaker.

Hiranmoy Mahanta, CEO of Gujarat i-Hub, said that when East India Company started in Surat, its first angel investors were businessmen from Surat. At that time, if Surat businessmen financed the East India Company, they could also finance innovative start-up entrepreneurs. The Government of Gujarat along with Chamber of Commerce and other organizations is trying to create awareness among the industrialists of Surat and for this they are trying to connect industrialists and corporate houses.

As a part of this effort South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Government of Gujarat, Start-up India and I-Hub jointly organize Start-up Expo at Surat on 27th, 28th and 29th October 2023 Is. In which Chartered Accountants Association and Taino will also be involved. In this expo, 50 venture capital managers from across the country will address entrepreneurs thinking of startups. Unicorns will also be present at the expo and will hold various sessions related to technology and artificial intelligence.

Around 60 start-ups will be showcasing their ideas in this expo. More than 10,000 businessmen from across the country will be invited. While the entire South Gujarat including Surat is a manufacturing hub, efforts will be made to make Surat a financial capital hub for start-ups. He requested the industrialists and corporate houses of Surat to support the start-up entrepreneurs through the Chamber of Commerce. Chamber of Commerce can be contacted individually for participation in Start-up Summit-2023 and exhibiting at the Expo.

Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Vijay Mewawala gave the welcome speech. The then former president Himanshu Bodawala thanked everyone present in the programme. CA Mayank Desai, Chairman of the Chamber’s Start-up Committee, designed and coordinated the entire event. Chamber’s Honorary Minister Nikhil Madrasi and Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar and Start-up Committee Co-Chairman Kashyap Pandya and committee members and entrepreneurs were present in the program. Hiranmoy Mahanta, CEO, Gujarat i-Hub answered various questions of the entrepreneurs and then concluded the program.
