There are no big teams in the World Cup, everyone is the same: Virat Kohli

Pune (Uttam Hindu News): Indian cricketer Virat Kohli spoke on the qualities of Bangladesh captain Shakib Al-Hasan ahead of their match in the World Cup 2023 and said that no team is big in the mega event.

Speaking to Star Sports, Kohli said about Shakib Al-Hassan, “I have played against him a lot over the years. He has amazing control. He is a very experienced bowler. He bowls very well with the new ball, knows how to deceive the batsman and is also very economical.”

“You have to give your best against all these bowlers and if you are not able to do that, these bowlers are able to put pressure and increase your chances of getting out. There are no big teams in the World Cup. Whenever you start focusing only on the big teams, there is trouble.”

Kohli is not wrong either because on Tuesday, Netherlands defeated South Africa and last week Afghanistan defeated defending champion England, making it clear that no team is inferior.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al-Hasan talked about the value of Virat Kohli’s wicket.

He said, “He is a special batsman, probably the best batsman of the modern era. I think I was lucky to get him out 5 times. Of course, taking his wicket would make me very happy.”

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya also talked about Shakib Al-Hassan’s worth. He said that he is a very smart cricketer. He has carried Bangladesh on his shoulders for many years.
