This service of Facebook is shutting down, will not be able to use it from September


New Delhi (Best Hindu News): The lightweight version of Messenger, known as the Messenger Lite app, is being discontinued by the Meta-owned platform. This app is being discontinued from next month for Android devices. According to a TechCrunch report, the Messenger Lite app has already been removed from the Google Play Store. But for users whose smartphones already have the Messenger Lite app, the app support will be discontinued from September 18, 2023.

Meta which was earlier known as Facebook. Messenger Lite app was introduced in the year 2016 by its side. This app was quite popular among the users. Running this app does not make much difference to the performance and storage of the device. Messenger Lite was also launched for iOS. But it was closed in the year 2020.

According to the report, Messenger Lite was downloaded by around 760 million people worldwide. The same India is at the forefront of using the Messenger app. Brazil and Indonesia come after India in this list. The company has made many changes in this messaging app. The company announced that from September 28, the Messenger app will no longer support SMS. Users are being informed by the company that they will not be able to use the Messenger app to send and receive messages from September 28.
