Pune: The Uttar Pradesh team has won five gold and three bronze medals in the third National Fin Swimming Championship-2023 played in Pune from September 3 to 5. Former national medalist Vinay Bose created panic by winning three gold medals in the championship. With this, Vinay Bose won the individual championship trophy. According to Narendra Singh Chauhan, general secretary of the UP Underwater Sports and Fin Swimming Association, Vinay Bose won gold in the 50m Surface Master V2 category with a time of 29:09 seconds. B One Finn won the gold medal in the Master V2 category with a timing of 30.17 s.

On the other hand, Vinay Bose won the third gold medal in the 50m APNEA Master V2 category on the last day with a time of 25.51 seconds. Joginder Prasad won the 100m. B One Finn V Two Master won the gold medal with a timing of 59.71 seconds. Apart from this, Joginder Prasad won 50 m. Surface Master V2 category and 50 m. B One Finns won bronze medal in Master V Two category. Apart from this, Dhirendra Yadav won 50 m. In the APNEA V One Master category, he clocked 26.92 seconds to win the fifth gold medal for UP. Shivji Verma, also from Uttar Pradesh, won the bronze medal in the 100m Surface Senior A category.
