But many times curd is left over and then we do not understand what to do with that remaining curd. Most people like to make kadhi from the leftover curd. Not only can you eat curd with your food, many types of drinks can also be made from it. For example, you can make smoothies with it. You can make a smoothie by adding many different fruits like berries, mangoes or bananas to make a very tasty smoothie.
Make salad dressing
If you have leftover curd in your fridge, it can also be used as salad dressing. With this the taste of your curd increases manifold. Make a creamy and tasty salad dressing by whisking yogurt with olive oil, lemon juice, herbs and spices. You can use this dressing on green salads, pasta salads, or as a dip for vegetables.
Generally we use curd in the form of kadhi. Additionally, curd can be used as a base in many other Indian gravies. If you wish, you can also prepare classic South Indian curd rice using leftover curd. To make curd rice, combine leftover curd with cooked rice, and add a seasoning of mustard seeds, curry leaves and red or green chillies.
Use in baking
Leftover curd can also be used in baking. If you are baking then you can use curd as an alternative to buttermilk or sour cream. Leftover curd can be used in cakes, muffins and pancakes etc.
