However, according to reports, its cost is around Rs 1,600 crore. That is, Russia’s mission is about two and a half times that of India. The cost of Chandrayaan-3 is less than that of Chandrayaan-2. Its total cost is about 30 percent less than that of Chandrayaan-2. Some of the cost of Chandrayaan-1 sent in 2008 was Rs 386 crore. Similarly, the total expenditure on Chandrayaan-2 sent in 2019 was Rs 978 crore. That is, the total expenditure of ISRO on all three missions has been Rs 1,979 crore.

America started its lunar mission in the year 1960. Then the total cost of his mission was $ 25.8 billion. If we look at today’s calculation, then it is equal to 178 billion dollars. In rupee terms, this amount works out to about Rs 14 lakh crore. That is, the cost of NASA’s Moon mission was about 3,000 times more than that of ISRO. ISRO also launched Mangalyaan a few years ago. Its total cost was around Rs 450 crore, while the cost of the 2013 Hollywood film Gravity was Rs 600 crore.
