Lucknow: In view of the World Cup matches, the team of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) inspected the Ekana Stadium on Friday. The 18-member team reached the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium (Ekana) stadium directly from the airport. The members first inspected all the nine pitches of the stadium. According to sources, all the pitches were found suitable for World Cup matches. Along with this, along with examining the fire prevention arrangements, also see the work done on the suggestions given earlier.

The team that reached the stadium after removing the cover and taking stock of all the pitches also asked questions and answers to the curator. After this, took stock of other preparations including seating of more than 50 thousand spectators. Tried turning on all the floodlights as well. State-of-the-art drainage system was also seen in case of rain. Stadium and UPCA officials told that after the rain, the game can be started again in just half an hour. The team was most affected in the outfield.
