The demise of Ravindra Peepat has dealt a deep blow to the Bollywood industry. People from the industry are mourning the news of his demise. 71-year-old actor Raj Babbar wrote on his Trained at FTII and under the prestigious RK banner, Ravindra’s classes always enthralled me.

Starting with ‘Channa Pardesi’ and ‘Long Da Lishkara’, for which he wrote the screenplay – to the hugely successful ‘Waris’ – for which he scripted and directed, we worked together for many projects. My confidence in Ravindra grew with time and I remember entrusting him with the responsibility of daughter Juhi’s first film ‘Kaash Aap Hamare Hote’ – which he did brilliantly.

He left us today and went to his heavenly abode. In his passing, not only have I lost an old and dear friend, but Indian cinema has also lost an outstanding filmmaker. Travel well my friend – you will always be missed.”
